Combining theatre, literature, escape room style puzzles, the macabre, and the occult, Scriptum Summatus promises to deliver a participatory online experience like no other.

Join us on Zoom for a book club style event hosted by Theresa Thomson live from Dalnavert Museum.

Christopher Tapper’s short story Scriptum Summatus, a Lovecraftian style horror, will provide us the perfect fodder for discussion and exploration. It offers a short tale of a man who reads from a book, unleashing its horror. We have 60-75 minutes of fun and spooky conversation planned …what could possibly go wrong?

In the event of any mishaps, we encourage participants to pay close attention to details and not to look away. We may all be counting on you. As you will be participating from the comfort of your own home we are sure you will be perfectly safe. Why wouldn’t you be?

Ticket information

Three nights only, (assuming we all survive the previous shows) - Oct 23rd, Oct 30th and Nov 6th at 8:00pm.

Tickets: $32 per device, early bird price $27 until October 11th!

This event is best experienced on your own screen, preferably a laptop or tablet.

There will only be 19 tickets per show which will provide us with the opportunity for a more intimate discussion, or should we say dissection, of the material.

Warnings

While it seems strange for a literary discussion to offer warnings, it's best to be prepared when reading and discussing the occult. Strong language and scary scenarios are possible. This event is for adults and older teens with parent or guardian permission. We cannot be held responsible for any possession or residual hauntings.

A participant package will be sent to each ticket holder, which will include the short story as well as suggestions to set up your space for the optimal experience.
