By Car

There is complimentary parking against the limestone wall north of the museum. The parking lot can be accessed from Carlton Street, a one-way going south, or from the back lane. There is an accessible parking spot.

By BUs

The nearest bus stop (Stop 10685, Southbound Carlton at Broadway) is approximately 80 meters away. The 10, 22, 34, 43, 44, 65, and 66 can all be caught within 400m of Dalnavert at the following stops:

  • Stop 10685, Southbound Carlton at Broadway (79m away) – 43

  • Stop 10587, Eastbound Broadway at Carlton (123m away) – 22, 34 (No Sunday service)

  • Stop 10592, Westbound Broadway at Carlton (146m away) – 22, 34 (No Sunday service)

By Bike

There is a bike parking station in front of the museum. Access to bike parking is not currently maintained in the winter as the City of Winnipeg plows directly onto our bike parking.

Nearby bike infrastructure includes:

  • A protected bike lane on Assiniboine Ave.

  • Painted bike lanes on Carlton Street and Hargrave Street north of Broadway. These painted bike lanes do not extend to the stretch of Carlton Street directly in front of Dalnavert

  • An unpaved, multi-use path along the river, south of Assiniboine Avenue

  • A public bike repair station at the Millennium Library near the corner of Donald and Graham Mall, approximately 900m from Dalnavert
