Unleash your creativity with the masterful Laurie McDougall of Velvetleaf Beadworks at Dalnavert Museum. Born and raised in the heart of the Métis homeland, Laurie's beadwork is a testament to her deep connection to her roots and her journey of cultural reconnection. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, this workshop promises to be a meditative and enriching experience that draws its inspiration from nature, textiles, and the vibrant hues of life. Each participant will be guided to create a pair of unique earrings marking the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30. Laurie's passion and expertise, combined with the historic ambiance of Dalnavert Museum, make this a not-to-be-missed event!
All materials will be provided. Spaces limited.
