Each concert features a different ensemble. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to enjoy Christmas music drawn from the early European tradition.
About Two by Two
Two by Two is: Tom Lurvey (guitars, banjo, fipple flutes, vocals), Linda Lurvey (folk harp, fipple flutes, percussion, vocals), Sandy McKenzie (percussion, fipple flutes, vocals), and Mark McLearon (fiddle, fipple flutes, vocals).
Our repertoire is Celtic and English traditional folk music from long ago. Our Festive December Season playlist includes historic melodies and carols from Western Europe and beyond. In addition to our instrumentals, we sing songs reflecting an earlier era of celebration. We love variety in our play lists with a balanced mixture of energetic dances, soothing harp tunes, and engaging songs. For historical performances, we can dress in period costume.
Over the past 6 years, our performances have included the historic St. Andrew's on the Red, the Manitoba Museum, St. Norbert Arts Centre, Dalnavert Museum, numerous retirement homes, local farmers markets, and private social events.
For information on choosing Two by Two to add the joy of Celtic music to your event, please contact: Linda or Tom at lurvey@mymts.net or Sandy or Mark at mclearon@mymts.net
We love the music we play, and are confident you’ll enjoy our performance.
