Musica Poetica

Please join us for our second Baroque chamber music concert of the season!

It's 1738 and you're in Paris for the holidays. Today is the feast of Epiphany, so the opera and theatre are shut down and the Palais des Tuileries is the place to be. There, in the renowned Concert Spirituel series, you will be treated to music by leading composers from around Europe played by star performers. For example, you may hear a spunky sonata by Leclair, a sultry suite by Blavet, one of Geminiani's popular concerto grossi for strings--favourites at the Tuileries, or one of Telemann's grand "Paris" Quartets. Opera is great, but tonight is for concert music.
